Default Don Fernando Anejo

Ran across a few bottles of this brand in a blue bottle listed as NOM 1115. Is this a good/great tequila? Not too much on the web regarding this.

Trying to attach a couple of photos.

Hi there,

I would be happy to help you giving you a description of this tequila, have you already bought one or are you thinking of buying one?

Well let me tell you, if you can find a couple of bottles of the original Don Fernando I will buy them right away, this is one of the finest tequilas I have ever tasted. It is smooth with deep caramel flavor and just absolutely amazing. The house that produced this tequila experienced a big transformation a few years ago; the grandpa died and left the state and the company to his grandchildren who in turn changed the tequila and the brand into the most horrible, tacky and underwhelming tequila. It is still named "Don Fernando" (now Don Fernando TKO) but it is NOT the tequila they used to produced at all.
When my sister got married my parents bought about 12 cases of these tequila to serve at her wedding back in 2000, back then it was about $60 dollars per bottle but now they are going for about double that price, and the are well worth it. Careful though, my dad still has a couple of bottles left from the original and he has been in search for the same one ever since, he found some but told me that they might have tampered with the bottles as it was NOT the same tequila from 2000. So watch out for a cheap bottle available on the internet that claims to be the original Don Fernando.
If you find an original let me know where I will buy one on the spot! =)
Good luck.!

That is a BOLD statement.

Just curious... as opposed to what? What other tequilas have you tasted?

Well I have tried many but some of my favorites are:

You can never go bad with a classic, a good Don Julio Anejo never fails.
I remembered ones having the higher up Don Julio Anejo (Don Julio 1942 Anejo Tequila) which was excellent as well.

I really like Tequila Chamucos witch is not widely available but really good as well.
Last Christmas my parents opened a great bottle of Tequila Dos Lunas gran reserva, which was amazing, but never let me drink it again! =0)
What about you?
