Unhappy Regrets regrets regrets !!!

Does this ever happen to any of you guys?
I was @ the tequila expo 11 bought 3 different bottles got a good deal on them. Then you get home & find out that the bottles you got, where so cheap that you should of bought@least 2 of each! just hearing you guys talk about how cheap the arette was, makes me wish I should have bought more
bottles! Thats the price you pay for being a menso and not realising a good deal even when its there staring you in the face!! and to top it off you go the next day and pay twice as much for a bottle that was there at the expo
for an awsome price. and didn't buy it!!! menso menso menso. that is a mistake that I am going to avoid making next time I make a purchase on tequis. chalk this one up to live & learn.

I assume we all have some kind of tequila regret, some good some bad. One of my tequila regrets is when you know you are already over your limit and might get some of your tequila confiscated at customs, but there are so many more you would like to bring back, only to have the customs official wave you by with out even asking what or how many you are bringing back.

My tequila regret is shameful but honest: my first trip to MX as an adult and I was thinking I should buy some tequila, so I bought... 100 Anos. And I think I bought Bailey's which doesn't last long at Casa de Sipper. But still, I can't believe THAT is what I bought, compared to my endless wish lists, now that I am a much more informed tequila fiend. Ideally, I'd like to bring back a small U-Haul of bottles, but I hear they slow down the airplane...

My latest regret was not buying the second (and last) bottle off the shelf of a discontinued blanco at a local store. They 'assured' me it would still be there when I came back. I did, however, clean them out of the repo.

Yes, carssausage, it was the Canicas that fdm got.

So sipper...did you mean to say 100 "Anuses"? Holy s*#t... what an appropriate name for that "ass juice!" In my not so humble opinion of course...... A guest at one of my parties brought over a bottle as a well intended gift one evening. I could not believe how undrinkable that stuff was! I even tried to mix with it and it f#*ked up a simple margarita!

One that comes to mind is when there was a group buy going on with the Penca Azul Anejo (sherrywood edition) I only purchased 2 bottles. I wish I would of purchased 4 or 5 of them. One of my favorite anejos and I only have one bottle left.

Yep, 100 Anuses (or is the plural Anii?) in one bottle. Gotta admit, that's quite the parlor trick. Usually one bottle will turn one into an a-hole, but to fit a hundred into one bottle? Impressive!!! And for under twenty bucks too!

Yeah true Pedro but I have seen photos of your stash and I can tell you that you have certainly won more than you have lost!

Default how to have no regrets at TJ Tequila Fest

RE: regreting not buying enough VS. risking customs....
with enough bankroll you can have the best of both worlds:
(Mainly for CA residents) Don't walk or drive across the border. Take a cruise from LA or SD to Ensenada on Carnival at their discount rate (some as low as $25!!). When you go back, you are on an commercial international carrier, which allows you to bring in (for personal use) up to 5 cases/ 60 lt. Yes, it's true. You can not only save money per bottle, but take a wkend vacation at same time. Buses from Ensenada to TJ run about $22 one way. I have hosted shore excursions for Royal Carib, Disney and Carnival Cruises, so deal I with this issue regularly.
