Default The best flight to have in your bar?

Still putting my order together and missed out on one of my bottles I had my eye on so I was thinking about having a nice flight of one brand to share with friends who might not have the same preferance's as myself ie anejos. I was thinking about fortaleza, 4 copas, oro, casa noble. Or would I be better off not sticking to one brand for the flight an mix it up a little?

Casa Noble...it is life-changing for newbies. Fortaleza is a very close second. I think CN is more vanilla, and F is more fruity. Or, you can do like a lot of us, and have both on hand.

Having one line to sample is good. That way they can taste the aging progression more easily. Going from a spicy, earthy brand to a vanilla, caramel brand could confuse their newbie palates.

A flight of Partida I'm sure wouldn't upset any one. If your talking about teaching newbies, I think a flight of the same brand is a better way to go.

Just my humble opinion even though a lot of great brands have been mentioned...you could do no wrong with a flight of 7 leguas b/r/a! GREAT JUICE!!!

Hmmm the only such flight I could do right now would be El Ultimo Agave - so I think I will! (Actually I could do so with Casa Noble using my bonus minis of the repo and anejo but would prefer not to.)

Fortaleza sells a three-pack of their B,R,A in 375 ml bottles - makes a nice starter kit for a flight. I apologize that I do not have the price, but it was probably 40-50 USD.

To REALLY show the difference between good tequila and the other stuff, I like to have mixto available, just in case.

Decided to go with ET Repo. That makes my complete flight I was looking to have. Since I have all the other bottles already. Thank You for the suggestions.

if those are actually 375s that would be an amazing price, as that would be a bottle and a half, and the blanco alone is $45 at Hi time.

Sipper MUST be talking about a different brand as Fortaleza only comes in 750s.

It was either Fortaleza or Los Abuelos, in Mexico, and it was a tourist type limited set, if not a 375 maybe a 500 ml, but I remember thinking I wanted to buy it, that it was smaller than a set of 750 ml bottles, and that I had to walk away, since I was BEYOND over my limit, despite being fortunate enoughh to travel with a pal who let me have their share for customs. I think I brought home 7 bottles, 2 -375's, some 200 mls, and about 10 50 mls. Over the limit? And HOW, baby! But the tequila gods smiled upon me the day of my return, as the customs officer just asked if I had a nice trip and I had the sense to simply reply yes, and we were rushed through. Within seconds, there was a flurry of drug dog activity and SWAT-team lookin' dudes, as a flight arrived at the same time as ours, from a country with a history of interesting intoxicants. I'll leave you to imagine which one. All I know is that we could not stop laughing in disbelief on the ride home from the airport! Gracias Santa Maria!
