Default Vacation Finds

I was on vacation over the last 2 weeks and as always treasure hunting, I made a couple of surprise findings. The first being San Matias Legado reposado, looked for info, didn't find much, but with it coming one of from my favorites NOM's and brand, I wasn't worried. It's a young repo, I think 4 months, but it is a great mixer and also a very good sipper, not quite Espolon repo, but real close. The best thing of course is price...$13 for a 750ml... $24 for a 1.75l, if it was readily available to me, it would be my bar tequila. The second find is something I'm sure most are familiar with, was Antiguo de Herradura anejo, again it's something I can't get at home and have yet to open , but, knowing the brand and have had some of their other products, for $18, I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Does anyone else have any vacation finds they would like to share, so we can know where to find some 'treasure'? I was in SW Florida, Fort Myers to be specific, the Legado at Total Wine and the Antiguo at Lehigh Discount Liquor.

Salud!

I haven't hit a vacation to speak of this year but will be visiting Hawaii in September and Nashville in October. I suspect Don Ricardo de Hawaii has already scooped up all the tequila treasures there and I suspect I either won't have time or Nashville won't have too many tequila treasures - but will certainly keep my eyes peeled.

I was just happy to find some Casa Noble crystal while on vacation, it is nearly impossible to find in NC these days, and I was lucky enough to find the gift box with minis of repo and anejo.

I have only been into tequila for around a year and this is my first CN - I liked it enough to go back and buy another.

But I have some treasure stashed if you want to sip something nice when you visit.

Robert,

PM me when you get ready to come to Nashville. We need to hook up for a tasting, and/or I can direct you to a few stores that may surprise you here. I have scoured the stores around here and found some treasures along the way. Or, there may be something on sale or different than back home.

That might be nice, but I am not sure what the better half has planned. If nothing else if you have a wish list I could see if I can sneak something into the suitcase.

Thanks. I will be there in mid-October with my wife, son and daughter in law. Between the Grand Ole Opry, Lynchberg, museums and honky tonking in the district, I don't know how much free time they will let me have but might be able to visit a store or two.
