Gran Patron Platinum retails for approx. $150 here. Even at that price, IMHO it is way overpriced. Don't get me wrong...it's not that bad if you like triple distilled tequilas. At $70 that might be worth the investment to try out. I personally would much rather invest that same cash on a nice bottle of Forteleza blanco or CNC, or even a Don Pilar blanco just to name a few. However, if you do pull the trigger on the Patron, please let us know your own thoughts.

I can agree with that thought. I got a bottle for a gift one year and awhile later somebody told me they thought Don Abraham Blanco was much better and only about $30. I tried them both side by side and completely agree. I would rather have some Forteleza or El Tesoro than the Patron.

Ok, got the bottle today and tryed it side by side with tezon blanco. Their quite similar with the patron perhas some % smoother and a more refined(?) agave flavor. As im not from US/Mex and hence not familiar with the hype related to patron, my honest opinion is that the gran patron platinum is well priced around 70$ here as ive payed alot more for alot worse tequilas. IMHO a top shelf blanco.

Salud.
