Default peligroso

Just got a new tequila at work, I've never heard of it personally but that doesn't mean anything. Its called peligroso, which means dangerous is Spanish, quite fitting since that's about how the tequila tastes. Blanco isn't bad, light sweet nose with a decent finish but man if the repo and anejo don't taste like feet. Anyone else tried this one? Thoughts? Boss told me price point is similar to patrons line. Not expensive, but IMO overpriced for quality of product.

Tastes like feet - I like that. I always described that flavor as tastes like gym socks smell.

What actually is the flavor being described?

Or that it tastes like dangerous. I think they are more or less general comments about the fact that he just didn't "care for it". I haven't tasted the brand yet but plan to give it a try. Mr. A and Lippy had reasonably good things to say about it.

Original post was on my phone and that was as descriptive as I could get at the moment. But, those are my official tasting notes.. write them down... tastes like feet. lol
The amount of tasting Im able to do work is kinda of limited, but my overall disappointment in the repo and anejo is that they both tasted very "young." I like to see an evolution in product moving from Blanco, to repo, then to anejo but to me the blanco was the best. By the time I get to my anejo I want deep rich flavor: caramel, oak, roasted agave... something. I want it to be a full mouthful of tequila I can almost chew on. It was just rough and irritating to me.
The blanco was relatively mild, light hints of caramel and citrus and the finish was almost grassy... but still enjoyable. The repo was very aggressive, sharp, woody lots of agave. The anejo I got some light spice on the nose, but the finish was ruined by the taste of rubbing alcohol. I understand that all their product is 42% which will make it a little more "dangerous" as they advertise, maybe their barrels need to be broken in or something IDK, this might be the worst highland tequila ive ever had.

I have not tasted Peligroso.
In the past - buying and trying different cheap Tequilas - I've tasted that "feet" taste and wondered what causes it to taste that way.

Darren,
I'm gonna have to disagree with you. I've had them & they are all pretty good Tequila's.

They are also highly rated on here: Blanco (91), Repo (89), Anejo (93).

I don't recall any "feet" flavors, but will revisit just for grins...

Our group thought they were good, especially the anejo.

Did you try opening the bottles with your hands instead of your toes?

You are wise... I will try using my hands instead of going ape next time.

Ill go back to them and give them another shot... maybe im missing something. Ill let the anejo breathe for a little bit this next time see if it helps.

or maybe my taste buds just aren't welcoming to this particular tequila. Glad someone enjoys it though.

Nah, part of some bulk load liquor deal we got. Part of a line of 30 new spirits we're carrying. We got 4 cases of each. If I had to guess it was either a really good deal or free...as we normally dont bring in new tequila otherwise.
