Default Hornitos

I've had a bottle of Sauza hornitos collecting dust in the back end of my stash for a year now. When I first tried it I found it way too fruit and had "ripe pear" written all over it. But today I decided to give it second try, and slap me and call me a donkey, It actually tasted quite good! I guess all that Casa noble juice did something to my taste buds.

Tell me if its just me and Ill be OK with that. Does anyone feel that JCRDLF is a glorified 1800? I get the same taste profile, just a little better.....

THat doesnt mean I dont like either of them, I do...

THoughts?

Perhaps, Pina but I think it's a little better than glorified 1800. I did have some 1800 Mileno though and it was very similar to JCLF, from what I remember. When I open my last bottle of it in a couple of years, I'll have to do a side by side.

In my own humble opinion, I think RDLF, 1800 milenio and Jose Cuervo(Dongle bottle) all have a something in common, BUT they are all 3 different Monsters when you do side x side x side tastings. Now you also got to keep in mind that there are different years on JCRDLF offerings..... Just my 2 cents.

I guess I would agree that they have similar taste profiles, and while I do like 1800 - at least enough to order it at a restaurant over some other offerings - but I find JCRDLF a much more enjoyable taste.

My bad, when I said glorified, I meant it in a way that it was in the same taste direction, but a little more refined..And yes, given the choice Ill take snifter of RDLF over 1800 any day@!
