Default Canicas reposado

Out in San Diego last week! I had the pleasure of sipping some Canicas reposado. What a treat. Love the fact that there are ZERO additives in this juice. The folks I was with had never sipped tequila before and after this juice they are converts to the distilled juice de agave'!

Since I left, I have heard that they bought Fortaleza blanco, Casa Noble anejo 2 year and el agave reposado. They are having fun!

I've tried the whole Canicas lineup. I think it is way overpriced for what you get.

I don't even know how much it costs. My uncle had bought us each a pour of the repo at a tequileria we were at. I enjoyed it. Haven't tried the rest of the line. It had been a recommendation from the waiter.

I've seen the Canicas brand range from $80 to $120.

I have tried the blanco and anejo and agree with Mr. A. I received a bottle for a gift and after trying it once or twice it is sitting collecting dust until my memory fades.

I found a bottle of this on a treasure hunt last Friday night with my best girl. MSRP was $79.99, but they had it on sale for $43.99. Verrry interesting juice. Not worth MSRP, but on sale it is a nice one for the collection. I only had a taste that night, so will have to report back after a proper tasting.

The guy at the store said that Canicas was no longer being made, and they picked up some cases on clearance at a good price. They had the blanco as well for a few dollars less, so I may have to go back...just cuz.

Amazingly simple bottle with a small undecorated cork. Something told me it must be pretty decent. When the guy saw me holding the bottle, he said, "That's some good tequila." Of course that started a nice chat, and after listening to his other preferences, I took the plunge.
