Default Avion tequila

Just wondering if anyone has tried Avion yet? Thoughts, reviews?

Waiting for a bottle of the blanco to arrive. Hope to have it by the end of the week.

I tried Avion at a Hi Times tasting about a month or so ago and was favorably impressed. Didn't have a chance to make any notes at the time - nor likely in any condition to make the notes either. I have a couple of bottles that I need to crack and sample and will try and post my impressions. My recollection was very decent but not a knock your socks off, but definitely something I would buy again.

A solid clear glass bottle with the flying pina logo on the back visible through the clear glass and a natural cork with wood top. Drank from a small Espolon snifter.

A thick mouth feel to this blanco, similar to a Casa Noble Crystal. Interesting legs for a blanco, long down the glass and resolving to large pearls. The taste is nothing like a Casa Noble though, as I found the first taste to be verrry peppery with alcohol burn to the tongue and mouth, with some agave/fruit accents after swallowing. Had a fairly long fading pepper finish and reminds me of a silkier El Tesoro Platinum. A very interesting highland product. If it was readily available to me I would buy this again.
