Mezcal La Fogata

Check out my review of this hard to find mezcal, they don't make it anymore, but if you can get your hands on a bottle take advantage of it. This stuff is really good, and it's counterpart the Tequila is even better, i'll post a review on it tomorrow, i bumped into these two bottles on my trip to Monterrey, Mexico a week ago, i had to get them, got them for 50.00 a piece, well spent considering the rareness of them, and the bottles are pretty cool.

I have seen the tequila La Fogata but had never seen this mezcal bottle. Nice find!

I know of a place that has a bottle out here in NorCal. I will have to check if it is still there and which type it is. I did not know there was a mezcal and a tequila by this company.

yeahiether did i, until i saw them both side by side, i bought the reposado, and extra anejo in the tequila, and bought the only bottle of the mezcal, they had, it was too good to pass up.

Do you know how long the Extra Aged has been aged for?

xtra aged 5-12 yrs.

So it is a blend?

sorry it's three to five years, and no i don't think so, i wish the bottle would've came with a note card or something, like the mezcal bottle, but it didn't, so not much i know about it, and Mr. Agave the nom. is : 1107

a guy i purchase bottles from on ebay , has a couple up for sale, check em out, they are kinda pricey, but they are rare so maybe you might to get one...

So I just went to the store that has the La Fogata bottles I mentioned previously. They had 2 Mezcal at $47 each and 1 Anejo tequila at $60. I was going to buy the tequila but it had already been openned. I will take a look at some of the other stores and see if they have any.
