Raicilla products - tried any?
I had only sampled one Raicilla product up until this last trip to PV, and that was in Chihuahua. I don't remember the brand either, but it was pretty harsh and after a couple of sips I gave up.
In PV at the Hacienda de Oro distillery, I was lucky enough to try their Raicilla product. Something new to their product line, produced the same as their tequila, just with a different agave. A more earthy and vegetal taste, but smooth and sweet. It was even 100 proof and no throat burn. Try it if you can, it's called Don Chendo Raicilla.
