tasted 07/06/08 out of a old fashioned double ball glass. being a true blanco lover, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this repo. It wasn't too woody, as I get an ill feeling when there is too much wood.
Aroma: A nice agave nose with hints of cinnamon and earth.
Initial taste: This is where I usually cringe if it's too woody. Inital taste was sweet with no bitterness.
Body: Thin mouth feel with a very pleasant agave complimented softly by wood and cinnamon.
Finish: Of medium duration with no alcohol burn.

Tasted on 07/05/08 out of Double ball glass. I don't feel let down, yet I wasn't WOWED either. I definitely don't see myself buying a bottle of this. As a matter of fact, I was 'forced' into drinking this because it was the ONLY tequila they had at the bar I was at.
Aroma: A bit difficult to detect. On the subtle side definitely. Hints of earth and agave.
Initial taste: A thin mouth feel, on the tip of the tongue there was slight bitterness.
Body: A subtle body of agave, earth, and spices. I like my bodies to be bolder.
Finish: Of short duration, with no alcohol burn.

Tasted 07/05/08 out of Double Old fashioned glass. I tried it first as a sipper. The second time around I put a splash of orange juice in it. As a sipper, I've tasted better repos, but it still had the same body taste as the blanco 1800, interesting. For me, not great, but not bad.
Aroma: Wood, earth, and faint agave
Initial Taste: An oily mouth feel, on the tip of tongue there is slight bitterness
Body: slight wood taste (I always prefer less), and a mellow agave body.
Finish: hints of cinnamon and spices, with a slight alcohol burn.

Tasted out of snifter 07/02/08. I dont really like reposados that much. Im a pure blanco drinker. But I got this bottle as a gift, so Im giving this repo a shot.
Aroma: Consisted of cinnamon, wood, and agave.
Initial Taste: An oily mouth feel, on the tip of tongue, its a sweet sharp cinnamon and citrusy taste.
Body: Very nice body of wod, earth, and intense agave
Finish: A slight heated alcohol burn of medium duration.
Like I said, I don't really drink reposados, but this reposado was very good, especially for a non repo drinker like me.

Tasted out of a snifter. El Tesoro Platinum is one of the smoothest blancos I have ever tasted. This is one of my top three favorite blancos. I personally would never use this as a mixer. It's also one of the 'sweeter' blancos I have tasted.
Aroma: Hints of pine (I've not detected this in other tequilas) as well and citrus.
Initial Taste: An oily mouth feel, on tip of tongue its initial taste is a sweet citrus.
Body: Turns to very agave, with floral and fruity tones.
Finish: Of medium duration, with no bitterness with no alcohol burn.
