Tasted on 8/16/08 out of high ball glass. This is a great reposado. Usually, I lean towards a blanco and second anejos. But this reposado stands out to me. A great sipper. I'm just a huge fan of the whole El Tesoro line.

Aroma: Smoke, agave, and wood.
Initial Taste: On tip of tongue, its sweet with no bitterness, a thin mouth feel.
Body: Excellent body of agave, citrus, and wood. The thing I liked about this body was that the wood was very faint and not overbearing.
Finish: A semi heated finish of medium duration.

Tasted on 08/13/08 out of double ball glass. What a great anejo. I thought earlier today that I had tasted a great anejo, but I came to this one and I was very impressed. Not the typical anejo. Not syrupy, not carmely. Im looking forward to getting a bottle of this.

Aroma: Cinnamon, and spices.
Initial Taste: Nice and sweet, not too sweet. No bitterness, a semi oily mouth feel.
Body: Very balanced agave, with wood, cinnamon, earth, and spices. The balance was very nice, and there was alot to balance!
Finish: A semi heated duration, with no alcohol burn. A very decent finish.

I like this one alot.

Tasted 08/13/08 out of a snifter. 3 Amigos anejo is very nice. Not your typical anejo. What I mean is it has a little more bite to it that most anejos I've tried. An excellent sipper to be enjoyed! Maybe I'm just a big 3 Amigos fan!

Aroma: Pleasant woody agave, and spice.
Initial Taste: On tip of tongue, there is a slight bitterness, followed by sweetness. A thin mouth feel.
Body: Wood, agave, vanilla, spice and earth.
Finish: A heated buttery finish of medium duration.

Tasted on 08/13/08 out of high ball glass. 5150 blanco is an intense, sweet blanco. Not too aggressive, but not too mild either. On the sweeter, bolder side. A good sipper.

Aroma: An obvious nose of agave, floral, and herb.
Initial Taste: On the tip of the tongue, its a 'heated sweet', with no bitterness. A medium to oily mouth feel.
Body: A balanced agave body, with notes of citrus, and floral.
Finish: A nice heated, smooth finish of medium duration.

Visited on 08/12/08. Mucho is located right on the beach in Mahattan Beach. A very nice place with very friendly staff, but that doesn't mean they know their tequilas. As a matter of fact, I noticed most people drinking beers. The food was very good, and the agave selection was wonderful. However, I wouldn't consider the staff tequila knowledgeable, or the crowd there for the tequila. It's more of a 'seen and be seen' scene. Yawn. I'd rather talk tequila, especially when I'm at a tequila bar.

Still a nice place if you DO know your tequila. You really can't go wrong with a tequila bar on the beach.
