September 05, 2008 Tasted out of a double ball glass. I tell you what I think, for the price that Patron is asking for this 'gem', it had better be a damn good tequila.

It wasn't. Was it smooth? Yes, almost so smooth that there was almost no taste to it. It just seems like another marketing scheme to get people to think they are getting something really great. Id do my formal review (with the aroma, initial taste, etc) but why bother? Bottom line is that the taste was so subtle that it was like there was no agave presence whatsoever. When I drink a tequila, I want to TASTE the agave, I'll even accept some harshness if I have to. You know, it's almost as if I expected something like this from a company like Patron, so in one way, Im actually not disappointed. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for it.

 September 04, 2008 Tasted on 09/03/08 out of a snifter. This blanco was a pleasant surprise. I'm still on the fence about its marketing. Nevertheless, it's a very good blanco.

Aroma: A pleasant nose of pine.
Initial Taste: Upon entry, its sweet with no bitterness. An oily mouth feel.
Body: Agave and fruit.
Finish: A short semi heated finish.

 September 01, 2008 tasted on 09/01/08 out of a snifter. This anejo was just ok for me. The best part about it was the aroma. I preferred the blanco of this line alot more.

Still, all in all, an above average anejo. yet in the same breath, its not the smoothest anejo I've had.

Aroma: Floral and carmel
Initial Taste: a little bitter on entry.
Body: Nice woody agave and caramel.
A short heated finish with slight alcohol burn.

 August 29, 2008 Tasted on 08/29/08 out of a snifter. This repo just didn't do it for me. But then again, I really didn't like their blanco. I don't know if I should try their anejo. This rating is all over the place. To me, this isn't top shelf at all. Again, this is just my opinion.

Aroma: Alcohol, chemicals, and carmel. Not a good nose for me.
Initial Taste: The initial taste was much better than the nose, an oily mouth feel, with slight bitterness upon entry.
Body: a decent body of agave, cinnamon, and earth.
Finish: A heated finish of short duration with alcohol burn.

 August 26, 2008 Tasted on 08/22/08 out of double ball glass. A good anejo, not great. I taste some additives in the tres generaciones line so it's not one of my favorites. Still, it was good to try and it's decent.

Aroma: Oak, vanilla, and spices.
Initial Taste: Upon entry into mouth, its sweet, and a little bitter.
Body: Agave, oak, and 'additives'.
Finish: A short heated finish of short duration.
