Purasangre Gran Reserva Anejo, tasted 3/28/2008, 9:00 PM. I was drawn to this tequila because I liked the rich look of the aged tequila and I wasn't disappointed. It has a bright, deep, rich amber color, a very plesant nose with a sweet aroma of carmel. Buttery taste and medium body with a nice balanced agave taste, rich medium finish with a short alcohol intensity and a really good flavor. I haven't learned to identify all the flavors and tastes of tequila yet but I thought it was very smooth and enjoyable to drink, I liked it allot. The presentation is top notch with a nice decorative bottle in a rustic glass front wooden case and 2 stemed glasses. It was a good purchase.

This is my first review of a tequila and my tastes might not be as refined as others but I wanted to share my experience with the Gran Patron, tasted on 12/21.

My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present and said I could try it before it went under the tree. I tend to like the anjeo's more than the Blanco's but my wife is much more sophisticated than I in purchasing tequila - she liked the maple box, the black velvet bag, and the bottle, so she bought it.

I really enjoyed this tequila, the aroma was very pleasant, I liked the agave taste and it was very smooth with a nice warm finish. I liked it allot. You can say what you want about the price, it is a little pricey, but when you pull the bottle of Gran Patron Platinum out to share with friends, it's going to be impressive.

Thanks Honey, you did good.
