OKay, so itook my brother in law to Trece Lounge in Dallas, to watch me sip a glass of this stuff, and of course he paid for it, since he and his friends decided to finish my whole brand new bottle of this stuff, didn't even get a chance to enjoy it, so i made him pay $45.00 for a glass and watch me enjoy it, and take notes of what i though, kinda showing him what to look for, you never know ,he might actually learn to appreciate this one day, accompanied by a medium well sirlion steak, this was awesome!!!!What can I say? AY caramba! Dark gold in color, this beauty is a definate wow on the attack with its pungent aromas. High levels of oak and smoke are combined with aromas of cream soda that mask the agave intensity. Underlying hints of white pepper and citrus are delicately woven into the bouquet. Almost oily in the mouth, the tequila is slightly sweet. Slight earthy agave, pepper, loads of caramel and oak flavors run wild on the palate. The finish is long with no bitterness, full of sweet oak and whisky flavors. An absolute must have for your collection!

Don Eduardo is one of my favorites, with a very bold taste, and an awesome nose, this anejo is a must in a casual drinkers cabinet, this is the epitome of a all around drinking tequila, awesome for the avid sipper, and also good to use in food recipes the clarity was clearwith medium depth, and a nice golden brown color,Don Eduardo did a really good job in bringing out the aromas in the anejo, well rested, not too complex, yet the subtle taste of smoke, and butter were very pleasing, this anejo is a definite plus in every aficionados collection, with it's fullness and well balanced alcohol and finish, with a very memorable aftertaste, the Orendain family did well with this one.

The clarity of the spirit is rather bright, for an anejo, the intensity of it was a little deep but really pleasant, the color is a beautiful copper color, and was quite a sight, aroma was a well rested scent, the intensity was complex, and had characteristics were that of smoke and vanilla, a good combination when it comes to anejo's.
Tequila 1921 was full of body, and a well balanced taste of alcohol, with a well balanced finish, with a very pleasant medium length aftertaste, the vanilla carried on into the taste, with hints of butter, and a little sweetness, all in all a great addition to the 1921 familia, and with it being single barrel special reserve, it carried the title well.
