Don Julio Anejo is the combination of rich flavors of agave matched with just the right hint of wood influences. The aromas let out from this anejo are that of a nice blend of citrus notes, lime, grapefruit, with a slight hint of caramel, leading through the mouth with hints of vanilla and butterscotch, with a heavy finish, with the essence of honey. A wondeerfully cured anejo.

This has always been a favorite of mine, Don Julio really did a nice job on this selection, and price well i can get a bottle of this for $75.99 at my trusted Beverage Depot, and is well worth the price, compared to the Real, you get what you pay for, now of course the difference between the 1942 and Anejo are slim, but make for a totally different comparison. The nose contains a real rich aroma of caramel and toffee, compared to the anejos citrusy notes, once in your mouth you can sense the silky smooth characteristics of agave flavors fruits, and spicey undertones, with a rich smooth sweet finish if oak and and vanilla. Excellent tequila one of my favorites.

Like that line from Jerry Mcguire "you had me at hello", this bottle called my name the minute i layed my eyes on it, just super plain, old school looking, but then at the bottom the funky marbles really give it it's character, it left me curious, now mind you i opened it and put some in my riedel, and vowed never to taste it again,Canicas was awesome, definitely not what i expected, i figured it was one of those "all talk" bottles, but canicas delivered, i opened the bottle and let it breath for a few minutes, then the aromas of the earthy, almost sweet fruity scents hit me. Inintial taste was weird, rather decieving, contained a light smoky taste that gave way to that slight bitterness, that i like in blancos, and then faded into a buttery smooth vanilla,My hats off to Canicas, definitely a pleasure to consuje, i just hope i can get my hands on another one, so i can sip on the opened bottle, an excellent anejo.

Uno had a lot of hype ,prior to it's arrival, i'm just sorry it didn't live up to it. The initial aroma once open was very strong that of a mesquite smoke, along with a sweet floral scent, not a good poppouri combination, initial taste was rather dissapointing, too bitter, and did not pass through well, smoothness was no surprise, raher flat and harsh, even the color was all wrong, after sitting in a barrel for so long, you would think a rich dark tequila would be produced. The only thing i like above all was the simple, but elegant bottle design...Sammy, what happene? good thing you got out when you did.

it's kinda of hard to compare to tequilas but an easy comparison to kahlua, or bailey's this selection from 1921,is excellent, definitely good on the rocks, and also good with after dinner coffee, but my favorite, and i urge everyone to try this, especially Mr.A, on those cold Colorado nights,is with warm mexican canela (cinnamon sticks in hot water), we have a winner, it is excellent, and the combination of crema and canela is awesome, look out winter because things just got hotter...an excellent addition to the 1921 family
