October 10, 2008 THis is my favorite tequila for drinking straight. They bottle it at the prooof it's distilled at so it truly is close to 100% Agave...not much water is added...unlike many of the other 100% agave which are distilled at over 100 proof and cut with water down to 80...

For that reason it has a lot of pure agave flavor...Spicy, sweet and flavorful. Some of my friends think it is a bit too earthy because it has so much agave flavor, I have them cut it with water at about 3 parts tequila to 1 part high quality H2O... it takes a bit off the flavor, just like they are used to with the other 100% agaves that fget cut with a lot of water. It is a great sipping tequila..

 October 10, 2008 I think Hornitos Reposado is one of the best tequila values for the money. I regularly pay $22-24 per bottle. I like it straight and it is smooth mellow and nice and spicy...I really like it as a good Margarita tequila.

Not my choiuce for a night of sipping with friends but a really great choice when you are serving batches of margaritas and want evryone to really enjoy them.

 October 10, 2008 I bought a bottle of 1800 becuase it was on sale for $15 at my local Jewel/Osco. I remember it from years ago (i'm in my 50's) when it was considered the best tequila. Well it was really disappointing this time...I do not think I would buy it again even at that price.

Rich smoky taste was overshadowed by a very bitter/sour taste and aftertaste.

 October 10, 2008 Not bad for a mixto...it is smooth and flavorful but has a bitter aftertaste. Package is nice and price is good for a margarita tequila.

Not sure what the MuchoTe stands for...but the tequila is good.
