Colour is an unusual dark copper. Nose suggests nuts & spice, sweet but faint agave -medium body offers a flash of sweetness, but gives way immediately to a persistent bitterness. There is a hint of smoke and agave, but the bitterness overwhelms all. Fade is long with a sharp alcohol bite. It fails to invite a second taste.
Package is attractive and certainly promises better, but overall, this offering from Cuervo lacks character and definition. I would never, never offer it to a guest. The bottle was a gift - I'm not sure what to do with it now.

Balance and enjoyability is what it is all about, and this blanco delivers the goods. Its nose is bright (but not excessive) agave and spice. Entry is sweet agave which rolls over to a slight and very agreeable bitterness as the agave flavour deepens. Body is moderate and balanced. Finishes modestly with more agave and a light herbal note. Handmade blown-glass bottles completes this outstanding package. This is the blanco against which I measure the others.
