July 28, 2008 Patron Reposado NOM 1492 Tasted 7/25/08. On this date I tried this tequila at the Davis Graduate Tequila Bar using a snifter. This tequila is pale yellow in color and has intense aromas of earth and floral. There are also moderate aromas of fruit and spice with mild smoke and hints of vanilla. A mellow taste on the tongue with slight heat/burning sensation leads to a sweet tequila experience with some bitterness. The Patron Reposado flavor contains intense earth with moderate to intense agave and floral flavors and moderate spice and chemical flavors. The tequila also has mild intensities of fruit and wood with hints of vanilla. Patron Reposado finishes with a long duration of flavor and a numbing alcohol feeling. This tequila has been awarded the overall rating of 83/84 points out of 100.

 July 28, 2008 Dos Lunas Reposado NOM 1124 Tasted on 7/25/08 at 9:00pm. I tried this tequila at the Grad Tequila Bar and tasted it in a snifter. With a yellow golden color, this tequila has intense floral aromas with moderate fruit accents. Other aromas include hints of vanilla, earth, and spice. The tequila has a thin to medium mouth feel and on the first sip is extremely sweet with no bitterness. Dos Lunas Reposado's intense flavors of fruit are followed by moderate notes of floral and agave. With a medium to long duration of flavor, tastes of mild earth, wood, and vanilla with hints of spice bring this tequila to a slightly numbing finish. Dos Lunas Reposado has received the rating of 83 points out of 100.

 July 28, 2008 374 Silver NOM 1522 Tasted on 7/26/08 at 7:00pm. I tasted this tequila in a friend’s home and used a spirits glass for tasting. 374 does not age their Silver which causes it to be clear in color. Intense medicinal earthy aromas of this tequila are followed by moderate notes of fruit and floral with mild notes of spice. In the mouth, the Silver is thin and mellow. While the tequila is sweet, there is a hint of bitterness. When examining the flavors of 374 Silver, first impressions include intense floral accents with moderate to intense agave. On a second sip, I noticed moderate flavors of earth and fruit with mild spice. This tequila finishes with a long duration of flavor and a tingly numbing alcohol intensity that contains some heat. I awarded 374 Silver the rating of 86 points out of 100.

 July 23, 2008 Penca Azul Blanco NOM 1115 Tasted on 7/18/08 at 9:30pm. I purchased this tequila at the Grad Tequila Bar in Davis, CA for $3.33 and tasted it out of a snifter. The tequila is clear in color. Penca Azul Blanco aromas consist of intense earthy aspects followed by moderate to intense floral notes. On the lighter side, this Blanco has moderate aromas of fruit and spice. On the tip of tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a medium mouth feel. While the tequila has heavy agave flavor, it is somewhat sweet and has no bitterness. The flavor of this tequila contains intense flavors of agave followed by moderate to intense earthy and spicy aspects. Deeper flavors of Penca Azul Blanco consist of moderate floral with mild fruit. Upon finishing this tequila, there is a long duration of flavor and slight numbing alcohol intensity. I have rated this tequila at 93 out of 100 points.

 July 23, 2008 Dos Lunas Silver NOM 1124 Tasted on 7/18/08 at 8:30pm. I tried this tequila at the Grad Tequila Bar and tasted it in a snifter. With a clear color, this tequila has intense floral aromas. Other aromas include moderate fruit with mild earth and spice. The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is semi sweet with no bitterness. Dos Lunas Silver's intense flavors of floral are followed by moderate to intense notes of agave with hints of earth, spice, and chemicals. With a medium duration of flavor and a tingly finish with a minimal amount of heat bring this tequila to a close. Dos Lunas Silver has received the rating of 85 points out of 100.
